Recommended Boating Supplies

There are a few pieces of equipment that are essential for those traveling on the waters. Some of which are even required by law. Once you are out on the water you can only make use with what you brought with you, so be sure to bring the right supplies before setting off.

PFDs

PFDs are personal flotation devices. These can take many different forms, but the most common is a standard, regulation approved life jacket which all passengers on-board the vessel should wear. While they are not required by law that they are actually worn, their importance goes without saying.

Fire Extinguisher

While it may not seem important to have a device that can put out fire when surrounded by water, a fire extinguisher is indispensable when on a boat. They can not only quickly put out fires that start on the boat, but also fires that might start on land when the boat is moored.
