Installing a Swim Platform

Whether you have a canal boat, a river boat or a sports boat you may want to consider a swim platform if you do not already have one. These are often added t the rear of a boat with a ladder leading to the cabin.

A swim platform can often be retractable or foldable, meaning it doesn’t have to stay down at all times. These are great if you regularly fancy a dip in the water or if you want to have your feet out over the edge, and the majority of platforms, depending on the size of the boat, can fit two people.

With a swim platform you can get more space on your boat, while it’s an extra place to fit storage boxes where you can carry gear and boating accessories, meaning less clutter in rooms on the boat. If your boat doesn’t have a platform then it doesn’t have to be the be all and end all. Many manufacturers can build platforms for individual requirements, and it’s an addition which is always likely to add value to a boat.
