Two Money Saving Options to Owning a Yacht

Owning a yacht is an expensive enterprise but there are a few options that can help you save money. One thing you can do is buy a new yacht and lease it to a charter company that looks after it for most of the year, with the condition that you use it exclusively for a set number of weeks each year. By doing this all maintenance work is carried out and at the end of your lease period, you retain full ownership of the boat but you have saved quite a chunk of money.

These schemes typically have two options:

1. Upon initial purchase you pay the full price of the yacht but have a cost offset of around 6-7 percent on the initial investment.

2. With this option, you purchase the new yacht at a discounted price, receive no income over a 5-year term, with the promise that the outlay will be almost or totally recouped at the end of that term.

Both of these yacht management schemes have been proven to work very successfully and saves the yacht owner a lot of money but the only downside is you have limited used of the yacht during a contract.
